Completion of Training Facility For 126 (City of Derby) Squadron of the RAF Air Cadets

Recent completions include the construction of a new £900,000 standalone two storey training facility for 126 (City of Derby) Squadron of the RAF Air Cadets at their existing site in Alvaston, Derby. The new building replaces a number of prefabricated units on the site which had reached the end of their useful life. The building, architecturally designed to fit in to the area build-scape, is constructed with driven pile foundations and concrete ring beams supporting a cladded steel framed structure with metal stud and boarded internal walls. The project was value engineered from the initial design to meet the clients budget requirements whilst maintaining the full requirement scope and without reducing the build quality.
